Hi getting married on may 30, 2020. Seems so close yet so far. What has everyone gotten done and what is there still to do?! I personally have most of the major stuff done like photographer, florist, dj, venue. I also have my dress and mostly all the stuff for my centerpieces!

I think I have cried enough to prepare myself for possible changes. I've reached out to our venue to get a feel for what they think...just hoping for the best and open to whatever comes.

Well, I just left the wait-and-see club. All of my bridesmaids have been jobless for the past week and my FH just got put on “temporary furlough” for at least two weeks, so we are definitely postponing the wedding.
And to think I made all my bridesmaids buy their dresses on March 10th. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🙄🙄🙄 Sure hope they fit in a year! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

As of right now all my vendors are agreeing to do continue. And travel hasn’t been banned yet so we will continue as planned. Although my guest list is half what I was expecting.

I haven’t begun to get the numbers back that I wanted but I also don’t know if this feedback is normal in normal circumstances or the non-return of rsvps has to do with the COVID-19. This has been most stressful and it’s taken a lot of joy and excitement out of the sheer planning itself. We haven’t called my venue and our venue hasn’t called us....I think because neither of us want to have this conversation of the “what if”. We are just holding on with hope that we can move forward with our plans. I haven’t even finish purchasing some of the essential items I need. 🥺

I completely understand the joy that has been taken from what should be one of the greatest moments. I am having a hard time purchasing those last minute items as well. I think that is why we are going to postpone. As much as I wanted this date to be “our” forever anniversary, I would rather enjoy the whole process getting to that day than this uncertainty that I’m feeling. But if you decide to go ahead with it, you won’t look back someday and regret any decision you made. Best Wishes!

I am in the wait and see boat! 05/30/20 wedding in Pennsylvania and I don’t know what to do. Yesterday I found out my venue contact was furloughed, so I now have to find a new contact. Nothing is easy.

I've officially left the wait-and-see club now as well. With the stay in place order in Illinois extended to April 30th, I was going to have to cram waaaay too much stuff into May, even if everything with the virus had cleared up by then... We've postponed to Friday, August 14th. All my vendors were extremely accommodating and they were all able to make the switch! It honestly feels good just to have some of the indecision behind me. I hope you all are staying safe and dealing with this as best you can! Smiley heart

My May 30th church wedding of 165 people has now turned into an outdoor ceremony of less than 10 people including musicians, videographer and photographer. Our wedding reception with our bridal party and guests will be scheduled on September 19, 2020 but we many need to push it back to spring 2021.

I am so blessed that churches near me are opening up to 40% capacity on the eve of May 30th, so my fiancé and I will be married in the church with 25 in state family and friends. I still have to send out my invitations so everyone can watch the livestream, if they choose. Reception is moved to August 16th this year. Never thought I would be wearing a mask on my wedding day, but it is what it is.
