Hi getting married on may 30, 2020. Seems so close yet so far. What has everyone gotten done and what is there still to do?! I personally have most of the major stuff done like photographer, florist, dj, venue. I also have my dress and mostly all the stuff for my centerpieces!

Smiley heart That's very sweet, but I was able to get a dress last week. I feel much more on top of things now! *whew*

May 30th feels so “around the corner” and since I’m doing a lot of DIY projects the pressure is on. Can I also add that I absolutely HATE getting addresses. It’s been the most aggravating thing and yet I can’t let go of the idea to have my invites mailed......so....guess I’ll bite the bullet on that one. I am having fun planning it though. Now I’m just trying to lose weight. When I got engaged, I was “happy” eating....welllllll.....let’s just say I was a little to joyous!!! 😋
Well I’m done rambling! 😂 Hope all you ladies are just as excited for your BIG DAY!!! 🥰

Under 100 days left! Smiley surprise What's next up on your checklist? We're working on our ceremony with our officiant and I'd like to pick out wedding ring bands soon!

I have everything done except resizing my dress because I’ve lost 20 pounds since I bought my dress. I’ve been engaged since September of 2018. I’ve been with my partner since 2015, and we’re waiting till I was 21 for drinking purposes for our honeymoon. Only thing left to pay for is Cake.

The small stuff - the cake topper, working out how we are going to ensure the person who is gluten free and vegan gets to eat, our marriage license (maybe not such a small thing), shoes

Just a quick check in fellow 5/30/2020 brides: Who's still going ahead with their wedding as planned, who has canceled what, and who is waiting to see what happens?

It's probably pretty apparent that I'm part of the wait-and-see group.

Wait and see since we are 3 weeks past the 8 week guidelines of no more than 50 people. I have a feeling we will need to end up postponing.

I've been crying for the past few days my soul out and it makes me feel so selfish and upset at myself. We were getting married May 30th 2020 in Nevada, Las Vegas. The gorvernor announced yesterday the closure of non-essential business for 30 days and I've been forced to cancel the wedding since I camt wven and my invitations because a lot of my family is overseas. My grandfather's health has been getting worse every day due to his prostate and big toe amputation. I feel heartbroken but I feel like is the right move to make. I feel like I'm making the right decision even though my venue wont refund us our deposit or let us postpone our date.

Our venue won’t even discuss it until the second week of April, I rather not postpone but we are completely ready to do so.. I’m not stressing the possibility of postponing but I am stressing the uncertainty tenor.gif

Our ceremony venue is stating that they will be shut down till June 1st. We are planning on going to Jamaica from June 1st-June 8th. Concerned and heartbroken but trying to stay positive and hope it all turns around.

Also in the wait and see camp. Holding off on any and all purchases that are specific to this date, so mostly invitations. I agree that the uncertainty is the worst too. I'd much rather know one way or the other... My Bridal shower and make-up trials have been postponed already too.

We'd just sent out our invitations early last week and now with things shutting down, it's very disheartening. We're also in the wait and see period. Our venue hasn't said one way or the other. As everyone, I'm hoping that we are able to go through with it. We've had some people that's already sent back their rsvp's and others are reaching out asking what we're going to do and it's all so stressful. We don't know what to do, and that's the problem. We're just gonna wait it out and start having a 2nd plan in place.

I am also in the wait and see camp... hoping and praying this all blows over by the time May 30th rolls around. I haven't been contacted by my venue or any of my vendors expressing concern, and I have already sent out invitations. None of my guests have directly reached out expressing concern yet and I am still receiving RSVPs. So definitely holding onto hope for a few more weeks, waiting to see how everything progresses. I think I am going to stick with the date no matter what, if we can't have the big wedding of 200 that we have been planning for, we will just gather closest family and bridesmaids and groomsmen and just get married anyway! Maybe have some sort of celebration or reception later. Also we have a honeymoon planned for directly after in Sedona, AZ so hoping that still works out as well. Everything feels up in the air, but I know it's out of my control so I'm trying to just trust in God and not stress!

We are in almost the same situation as you! Sent invites early last week and now the major cities in my state have one month shelter in place orders going in effect. So we’re hoping this blows over by the 30th, but are beginning to plan if we would need to postpone and what we might do.
