We’re May 17 and so far our venue said we can move forward we don’t need to meet a minimum number of people which helps and we still have some RSVPs coming in

We were May 15 and decided to cancel our original wedding plan about 3 weeks ago. We will hopefully still be able to do a small ceremony with family on that date, but are moving our reception to a different state (where my parents live) in the fall. I couldn't deal with the stress of waiting it out, especially since 95% of our guests would be traveling from out of state. I don't know if dealing with my vendors was worth the stress haha, but once I get that behind me I am going to feel way better about our decision to cancel!

Hey May couples! (I was a May bride myself back in the day!)

I'm sorry you're having to go through this stress before your wedding. If it helps, you aren't alone! Here's a couple of other discussions with May brides who have made the decision to postpone:

    - May Wedding Postponed.

    - Postponed our May wedding - the original post is about having a small ceremony in May and rescheduling for August

    - Officially Postponed My May 30, 2020 Wedding Day - the bride is asking about rescheduling for August vs. May 2021

Also, WeddingWire has created resources that may be helpful as you navigate the postponement process: Our COVID-19 Weddings Advice Guide. You'll find articles like this one: You’ve Decided to Postpone Your Wedding. Now What?

In the hope of brightening your day, here's some positive perspective: “My Wedding Was Postponed Due to Covid-19, but Now I Get a ‘Do-Over’”.

My thoughts are with you all Smiley heart
