Couples getting married on June 27, 2020

A little bit of both really I've been doing almost everything myself and its been very stressful. I have some stuff but not nearly close of being done.

This is how we feel today after booking our last vendors!!!

We booked our final vendor today but we still have so many things to do! So many DIY projects I'd like to do including a Macromae hanging back drop for our dessert table How is everyone elses planning going?

We got engaged December 14, 2019 and we have the venue, officiant and photographer booked. Wedding is June 27, 2020. I'm a REALLY crafty person so doing my own flowers and decor. We're getting married at the beach with only about 30-50 guests. In laws are hosting reception at their place. I've also managed to buy 2 wedding dresses and 2 reception dresses. Was a little indecisive at first. This is my 3rd marriage, his 1st, and I didn't really have a say in planning the others. It's OUR day and I'm not really concerned with who likes it. It's about him and I.

Saving every penny I can ad of course we’re paying for it all ourselves. My 12,000 budget was a little unrealistic and we’re up to around 20,000. Everything around here is sooo expensive. Hi ladies!!! 138 days!!

We are just needing to purchase our wedding bands and that's the last of the major wedding expenses to tackle. I'm almost done with my Bridal party gift's and working on detail things now. It's all coming together!!

These are my bouquets and boutinerres. I'm also making ALL of the centerpieces for the ceremony/reception. We have a $5000 - $10000 budget. I'm currently at about $1500 right now. I found my photographer for FREE. She offered it as my wedding gift. Officiant $120. 4 hours at the ceremony site $185 with $100 refundable deposit. Reception site FREE due to it being at parents house. No clue what he spent on the engagement ring. Decided on silicone wedding bands ($50) due to type of work we do. Flowers and centerpieces have cost between $300 - $400 (dollar tree). Try using Pinterest. TONS of ideas. My mom bought my hair piece. Daughter is buying my wedding jewelry.

I am starting to stress!!


We have our venues set, photographer set, wedding invites (just have to stamp and send), wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, quite a bit of decor, bouquets, grooms shoes, cake/dessert, hair & makeup; but we are probably going to have to rent chairs for ceremony and then table clothes n such for reception and we still need to get a caterer. This is what has me beginning to freaking out. I am afraid it’s too late to get those set.
I know that I just need to breathe, but I feel like it’s going to be a big flop. One of my bridesmaids made a comment about my reception being more of a party and not a wedding reception. This has haunted me ever since she said it. The start of my fear/stress.

I'm sorry that you are stressing! I hope you find a caterer soon. Please don't listen to your bridesmaid. That's a weird comment. Also, a reception is a party to celebrate your marriage and say thank you to your guests, so I wouldn't worry. I'm sure you are doing an amazing job and it sounds like you got most things already down. I still have quite a few things to organize in comparison to you.

The time is flying because as the day gets closer I get more nervous. I’m so excited to be marrying my best friend. He is so amazing and truly God sent. Everything is coming along good just a few things left to do. I pray that Everyone day be the best day of y’all lives. I know it will be for me Be blessed to all the brides getting married and so excited we all share that same date. Actually we are getting married on my fiancé best friend/ brother and his wife Anniversary. I didn’t even realize it until he told him. Wow how amazing is that well blessings to all !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm EXCITED even though the Coronavirus is making most of us nervous due to so many shutdowns. I'm praying we will see some form of normalcy sooner than later.
