If you attend to church talk with them about thepossibility of Britainborrowing chairs. I talked to my church just last week and they confirmed I could borrow chairs for my wedding day.

Mine are already to go but I think I’ll just add a little note that says You are important to us, if their are still uncertainties due to the virus we will postpone and let you know if a new date.....
That will kill me though...I have my date in so much stuff.

It does kill me. That’s a really good idea though. We have decided that we will still get married, but that we will have the party another day if it comes to that.

Thanks!! That is a great idea. We aren’t getting married in the city that we live in, unfortunately.

So we are taking it day by day with covid-19, but will
Most likely postpone. We have a lot of family coming from different states and a lot are elderly.

It makes us extremely sad!! I know we will be able to pick a new date, but we just want to make sure everyone is safe and healthy. We just sent our invites out too, right before things escalated! 😩

Same! Because of this, we decided we are not going to make any decision before mid April. We want to see how the situation is developing.

Same here 😭 we called our venue today and are trying to weigh our options. All of our guest would be traveling and many are older. We think postponing is the best thing to do. The venue said we could do in on June 27th of next year. But I don’t want to wait a whole year. 😩

Same! Don't want to wait another year. We are already engaged for two and a half years, don't want to make it three and a half.

Same! I have half of our invitations addressed but don’t feel like I can send them right now. We’re in Seattle, our wedding is here, and most of our guests are coming in from out of town. We technically don’t need to send invitations until the end of April (for the 6-8 weeks that are technically “correct,” per wedding etiquette), so we’re waiting for now and hoping we’ll have a better idea soon of whether or not we’ll have to postpone. I hope not!

We are thinking we may just have a small courthouse wedding on the date we are suppose to get married. Then postpone everything until next June and have like a 1 year anniversary wedding. But know idea yet 😫

Well, it happenned. We had to move our date.

Our state just shut everything down until June 10th. 17 days isn't enough time to handle everything we won't be able to handle until June 10th, so if ended up being necessary for us. My dress alterations were canceled, and my husband hadn't ordered his tux and his appointment to order was canceled. Nothing can be rescheduled until after June 10th, and we have to have something to wear!

We were very fortunate, because it was easy for us to move our date. Our venue offers an inclusive package and they were more than happy to accommodate. My photographer was happy to as well. Not sure about my dj, but again, we don't have much of a choice, and if all we lose is the $300 deposit, we'll consider ourselves ucky.

Our date is now June 26th, 2021.I wish you all the best of luck, fingers crossed that you won't have to face this difficult decision!

Jessica, so sorry to hear. What state do you live in. I’ve resigned myself to the fact we’ll probably have to reschedule but haven’t made the official decision yet. No one at venue responded to calls or emails.

We live in Virginia. Our Governor just announced a stay at home order until June 10th, which included penalties for any non-essential outings and groups of 10 or more. Most nonessential businesses are closing, because they have to operate at a capacity of 10 or less.

As of right now, no. My wedding was very intimate from the start. I will be making minor changes moving forward depending upon the day to day news reports.

I pulled the trigger today and am working in rescheduling to November 21. I just can’t run the risk and still have fittings. There’s no way we can get things done by June 27 even if the SIP is lifted by June. 😭😭😭

You’re lucky you can still have the same date/weekend next year! For my back up date I had to go out to late July 2020. It sucks because my parent’s wedding anniversary is June 28th so I really liked my date Smiley sad All of the March - May brides rescheduled first, there was basically nothing left on a Saturday this year.

I have a back up date but I really don’t know what to do. MA and RI where I am keep extending things on a weekly basis. I sent out my invites at the end of March and a few people already told me they are waiting to RSVP because of the Coronavirus stuff. I didn’t tell anyone about the “Plan B date” because we were worried it might effect RSVPs, and we’re not sure what the etiquette would be on re-inviting people if they RSVP “no” and the date changes.

The plan right now is to make a decision by mid May, which is when the current bans are supposed to last until in RI and MA. But we’re worried that even in the best case scenario, we still won’t have enough time to do what we need to. For example, I already know my shower is cancelled. My fiancé needs a tux, my dad needs a tux and my mom doesn’t have anything to wear right now. We need to look at wedding bans, I’m supposed to have two more fittings, etc. I can’t even exercise right now and I’ve already gained weight since my last fitting three weeks ago!

It’s really the uncertainty that’s killing me. I just don’t know how to proceed and I hate the waiting game.

We moved ours to the same date as yours. Ugh a whole year. So sad to be starting the countdown all over again.
