Hi all! me and my fiancé decided to have a destination wedding. some people are telling me its to early to plan because it is 16months away. can anyone help with this? is this true? we wanted to give our guest enough time to pay and get passports but how are they suppose to when we don't have a price/quote or anything? Also if anyone could offer any advice on how to plan or where to start that would be great. If anyone can let me know there experiences that would help a bunch. we are looking at Jamaica and something all-inclusive to make it a little easier on our guest. Thanks in Advance I look forward to hearing your ideas/experiences.

You can totally start planning now Many couples start to look for a venue 12 - 14 months in advance, and book 10 - 12 months out. If you have a particular date or venue in mind you would like to secure, you can book it as early as you like!

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction, I didn't know where to start and we are looking for venues for our destination wedding. we like Jamaica so hopefully we find something soon, thanks for your help!

Hey Jarlishuha,
I got engaged April of this year, were getting married in Feb 12, 2021 in Puerto Rico. I might be ahead of the game but i've already booked the venue, photographer, videographer, dj, hair and makeup as well as bought my dress. i feel like its never too early to start, especially if you're having a destination wedding. My only problem now is the hotels, for some reason to book a block its double the price of an ordinary one night stay.

THANK YOU, one travel planner told me it was to early to plan so im really happy to hear your feedback. you are ahead but that is GREAT!!! hopefully I get there lol CONGRATS and happy planning ;-)
