Is anyone else a mass bride and what is your plan I have all vendors booked and got dress and venue in mass but I’m panicked if will even happen on 8/21/21 and if I should even send out save the dates or postpone the entire thing my fiancé wants to wait till last minute to see what happens but I’m nervous and can’t help but worry

View Quoted Comment I’m not in MA, but in NYC and we just made the decision to reach out to our venue last night to possibly postpone to August 2022. We are still awaiting their response. Similarly to you, I wanted to send out save the dates with our engagement photos we took this summer. I even designed them and was close to ordering them but I just couldn’t get the worry out of my head. We now know that things will not improve as quickly as we initially thought. So while there is a possibility that things might be okay by next summer, I think what is most important in the decision of whether or not to postpone is how flexible you are willing to be. At the moment, we are hoping to postpone in order to have a wedding that reflects what we envisioned: full 120-130 guest list, dancing, mingling, no masks, no health risk, etc. We will not be okay with cutting our guest list in half or eloping or having a small ceremony or having a socially distant wedding if we are forced to do so at the last minute. We also really care about the entire wedding experience and that has already been impacted. Instead of being excited to plan, we have been stressed and anxious. We haven’t been able to get together with our families to enjoy the fun wedding activities like the engagement party, food tasting, dress shopping, etc. and the longer this goes on, the more activities will be impacted (bridal shower, bachelorette/bachelor parties). We are hoping that by pushing out to 2022, we will be able to enjoy the process more. While it makes me sad to let go of our date because it’s what we have been planning for since this past January and I feel like I’ll probably lose my wedding planning excitement by having to wait almost 2 more years, we are also not in a rush to get married—we plan to wait a long time before having kids and already live together. So for us, it makes most sense to postpone now to avoid the stress/anxiety, enjoy the planning, and get a head start for 2022 in case more 2021 couples postpone.

Hello to all my 08/21/2021 Brides❤️ We are having a destination wedding at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. So far we have everything booked. All of our guest have book their rooms. Bridesmaids and groomsmen are all set. I’m still somewhat panicking tho (who else feels like that). 8/21/2021 here too!!! Already purchased my dress and just about every bit of decorations and I just got engaged last month! I have never realized how stressful a wedding is, but then again I've only been to one wedding! Our location has already been picked and reserved! For some reason I still feel like I'm slacking!
