Cost of invitations

I have no idea how much to budget for invitations! How much did you spend on yours and how many guests did you send them to? Also is it worth it to spend the extra on postage for RSVP cards or should I just have them do it online?? Thanks!!

We got our invitations, RSVPs, and thank you cards from Vista Print. Plain envelopes included for $125. We did get them at 50% off and they are beautiful. Sorry about the blurry pic, the invitations aren't actually blurry.

I literally spent $10/ 50 invites and whatever the cost of the ink from my printer. I loved my invites from Gartner Studios (got them at Michaels with a coupon) and did include postage for the rsvp because many of my older guests would never rsvp online. Invites were low in my priority list though. I knew there was no way I was spending more that $40 on something most people immediately throw out after receiving.

I spent $250 but had 40% off of printing! I got 100 printed but we invited 200 guests total. I am a graphic designer so I was really particular about the paper and everything. We ended up doing the post card RSVP route to save on postage a bit but also had the option of RSVPing online!

I have budgeted $250 for invitations, RSVP cards, envelopes, and postage for 40-50 invites. I have figured out a couple of options on Vistaprint, but haven't settled on a design quite yet. I'm going to be purchasing during their Black Friday sale, so with that discount I will be well under budget.

I am hearing good reports from clients who have opted for online RSVPs. You still include a physical insert with the link on it, so you can include the option for them to mail it back if they prefer. If you still want to do traditional response cards, you can save by choosing a postcard RSVP.

To keep cost low, I recommend choosing simple, flat cards without pockets or embellishments and avoid odd shapes or sizes that can increase your postage.

I have been shopping around for some invitations and have learned that it's very costly! I'm looking for pretty but basic, it can add up in cost for foil stamped ones, etc. I really like ones I found on Zazzle and they allow you to edit all of it. Which I've found helpful for like $200 for 125

I plan to order everything during the Vistaprint 60% off sale on Cyber Monday. This includes:

    80 Save the Dates

150 Invitations (we only need 120, but I that's not an option on the site and I'd rather order more)

    150 RSVP cards

    150 RSVP envelopes

    150 Information Cards

    250 Menu Cards

Total Regular Price: $650 ($260 on sale)

    From Minted:

200 Printed Mailing Envelopes (guests' addresses for Save the Dates and Invitations) - $80 regular price (will wait for holiday sales)

Invitations were not my priority so I bought some from michaels with a 50% discount and printed them at home.

    $50 for 60 invites

I DIY'ED my invites and spent about $220 for 75 invites and RSVPS. I would spend the money for postage personally.

We did ours through Vistaprint. It was so awesome because they had a half off sale so we were able to get a hundred invitations plus envelopes for about $40. To cut down on RSVPs getting lost in the mail or arriving too late we put the link on our invitations to our wedding website in which guests are prompted to RSVP if they desire. I was so happy that we were able to get our invites out in the most cost-effective way and they came out amazing. Initially ordered 10 as a test just to see if they would come out the way we wanted and they did

I went on weddingpaperdivas during their Black Friday sale and ordered 75 invites and response cards with envelopes for both for $289. I thought it was a great deal!

It's completely up to you. You can get some cute ones on Minted for a pretty reasonable cost.

I'm a graphic designer so invitations are HUGE to me. I'll be DIY-ing mine, but that doesn't mean cheap. I love laser cuts and expensive paper, so mine will probably be around $600 for 60ish invitations. And I'll do a real RSVP card too, for the same reason.

I just paid $550 for 100 after a 15% discount on Minted. But I went ahead and splurged and got foil pressed, pre addressed, and envelope liners

I kind of wish I didn't put postage on the rsvp envelopes because I've only gotten back about 20ish out of 100 and we are a week passed our deadline date. Now I'm pissed because people are rude and wasted the stamp lol.
