My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

Well if you have to go on business as usual plan to have it. If you can make a backup plan, do it. It’s so stressful. We will get through it.
We’re supposed to get married on May 24th. We contacted the venue about a backup date this summer and they gave a few dates in July, only one works. We want to get married before August since we’re starting law school in August. The date they gave us works for us and our immediate family but our DJ isn’t available and we haven’t heard back from our tent company or the caterer. I don’t want to start over all over again with the big vendors. On top of that we just got our invites in and we were going to send them out this week. We are stuck because we don’t have a ton of time to send them out if we go forward with May 24th but don’t want to send them out and get a bunch of nos or put people in an uncomfortable position.
We are getting married in Vegas (we live here) on 4/11! All of my family, my MOH, and some close friends, are on the east coast and I’m not sure if they will be able to make it, if they ban domestic flights. I’ve contacted the venue and my vendors and they have been awesome! We are going with a wait and see attitude but also looking at Plan B to postpone and reschedule, which is a distinct possibility. They are all willing to work with me. Right now they don’t have any event cancellations but who knows how this will play out. I’m just trying to be prepared. Most important is everyone’s health and safety. My fiancé has a great attitude about it all-we will be having a wedding no matter what. Just may be a different date. Best of luck to all of you in the same boat! I feel ya!!
Man, we are in the same boat! Yes, that is what I am hoping, three months is a long time. No kidding. I always heard that planning a wedding was stressful but with all of this madness going on... it's just not fair!

Best response I’ve read yet. I also have my wedding planned for 5/2/20. Only 70 planned guests. May only be 20 but the 20 that show up will have a blast. definitely feel like the media is blowing things up.
Ugh!! Ours in April 24th in Central NJ. I can't think about it without wanting to break out in tears (and sometimes I do)! I'm hoping for a miracle, for my own selfish reasons and for everyone! I hope we're all being safe and this is all a memory very soon!!
Hey date twin! I'm freaking out as well. I'm just afraid the venue will cancel the wedding and our perfect day that we've spent so long planning will be ruined. Fingers crossed things get better!!
I am so sorry! I am not getting married until next year, but I couldn’t imagine trying to host my wedding at a time like this! Stores are out of everything! Even if you could still have your wedding, what would your caterers serve? Good luck! I hope everything works out for you and for all the future brides going through this right now!
