My wedding is 5/2/2020. My county just shut down for two weeks. I’m in a state of panic, this is not something you think you need to prepare for when wedding planning. It sure if I’m over or under freaking out here. Anyone else??

I like to think that I’m a low-stress person, but with my wedding coming up on May 9 (and my honeymoon was booked for Italy, ha!) and this pandemic rapidly shutting everything down around us, it’s hard not to start really stressing. More than anything I’m worried about the huge waste of money (for everybody involved, not just us) in having to move the date. I know that my fiancé and I will be married in the end and that’s all that really matters but whew, I just never thought we’d be dealing with something like this in the midst of what is supposed to be the happiest time of our lives. I just wanted to let you ladies all know that you’re not alone!
Mine is April 20 and I am also panicking! We are having a smaller wedding (35people) but we do have guests flying from RI, MA, NJ, and OR! We are in S.C. but the wedding is planned for Key West. This is so not something you plan for! Very sad and trying to remain positive! I just don’t know when the right time is to make a hard decision to postpone to give people time to change reservations.
Our wedding is May 8, 2020 in Italy. Our flights were cancelled by the airlines. We are now pushing our wedding to next year. Re-booking everything from hotels to vendors are going to be a headache.
Me too! I’m in a panic and not sure whether to keep ordering the things I need. At this point, I don’t think many people will travel for it. Is anyone planning to call it off? How soon will you make the call?
I am 5/8/20 and I’m panicking too. Giving it 2 more weeks then making a final decision. It’s looking like I’ll have to postpone but I’m waiting it out if there’s any sliver of hope this gets better
Mine’s in 10 days and I’m freaking out as well. I contacted my venue and they said unless the govt. tells them to close that the wedding is on. Just check with them first before making any major decisions or contacting your other vendors. I also posted on my wedding website and Facebook that it’s still on and guests can make their own choice in whether to attend or not.

We think to do the same thing. My wedding it was supposed to be on 4/18/2020 but Puerto Rico shut down everything for 2 weeks and my family is worried to go to the wedding. Also close family from the states cancel already so we decided to get married in courthouse and do the wedding later. I really hope the venue and the other venues let me select other date and We don't lose our money 😕
Breathe guys. Talk to your vendors. Ours were all willing to move the date without an extra cost for us - they realize the situation right now. We'll get through this!
May 1st over here 💔 Our venue cancelled all their events (including weddings) for the rest of this month. They said they’re watching the situation closely, but they don’t know yet for sure if ours will have to be postponed.

I understand the feeling. My wedding is 04/18/2020 and I’m freaking out as well.
