Considering a Mexican buffet for my wedding

I'm getting married next October in a modern venue with a garden feel! I am kind of hitting a wall with searching for caterers. I am shocked at how expensive they are (it's also because we are in the Chicago area.) My favorite option right now is a taco buffet with appetizers for cocktail hour, Aguas frescas, desserts, a churro bar with elote etc.. You get so much bang for your buck, and they present things very nicely. Some of our families' members are very on board but others not... including someone who is helping us out with the wedding funds. We still have time, but I get more discouraged anytime I look somewhere else. Did I also mention this caterer does not have a single bad review?
