Connecticut 2020 brides

Right now I’m living in NJ with my fiancé, our wedding is in Connecticut. Since I’m not physically in the state I was wondering what other CT brides are doing with their weddings regarding COVID-19 and how you’re all handling everything, what your venues have been telling you etc. I’m getting married December 26th 2020 with about 220 guests.

Hi, I’m a CT bride too! I’ve been in contact with my venue, and they just updated me from their meetings with state/guideline people. They explained that after the 3 phases, we would be able to have our wedding without any restrictions. So August 20th would be when we hit the restriction lifting phase if everything goes as planned. Our wedding is August 29th, so they think we should be okay but are holding a backup date for us Incase. This made me feel a lot better since I refuse to have a wedding with masks, no dance floor, etc.
what have you heard from your venue??

Hi Alyssa! December is still so far away that it's really difficult to know what things will be like! But here are a few December wedding discussions I found so far:

I'm a ct bride and my wedding is august 30th 2020. Most of my vendors think we should be ok by then, I'm staying hopeful that once we open up we wont have to shut down again. It seems to be going ok so far, were starting phase 2 on the 17th which is 3 days before we were scheduled too. So again hoping it's a good sign phase 3 will allow weddings to go unrestricted.

Hi brides! I'm getting married in August 2021 HOWEVER, does anyone recall for your August or July weddings - what the capacity was for indoor and outdoor? We are planning on sending our save the dates in January but want to know how many people we will need to cut if COVID is not allowed for over 70 guests.

    Thank you!

    Jenn
