Comfortable Waist Cincher

sweet666, on May 20, 2016 at 9:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

I bought a waist cincher that got here three days ago and I am in love. I've worn corsets before for Halloween and out to the club, so the squished feeling is nothing new. But boy howdy does it help bring out my hourglass. Honestly, I could wear this thing all day! I actually had it on for an hour today and took it off since I was going to do some cleaning (not super easy to bend in) and after some tidying up I wanted to put it right back on, I feel so much better wearing it.

My mom asked if I'd wear it under my dress... I was thinking no at first, I just want to lose a couple inches and not have to wear it for my dress to fit- but after a few days already I think I might.

This thing is also helping out with my posture too! Smiley laugh It's from FeelFoxy- https://www.feelfoxy.com/trufigure-classic-waist-cincher/

Has anyone else purchased a waist cincher for their wedding?

I have a mesh steel boned corset for under my dress. I honestly think its more comfortable and breathable than waist cinchers!

Wait. Are you wearing it for shape wear... Or you wearing it to try to lose weight?

If you are wearing it to try to change your body I really don't recommend it. They are not healthy.

I prefer my internal organs stay right where they are.

Those things are garbage. Your body will go right back to normal after you stop wearing it. Work your abs, obliques, and back for a natural waist! Smiley smile

I'm wearing shape wear. Just to smooth my belly button and hold the ladies up. FH loves me just the way I am, and hopefully after I have kids, I just want to be happy with me.

Please don't wear it on any day other than your wedding day. As others have said, they're nothing but glorified corsets and can cause some serious damage long term.

At first I bought it to squash those organs around to accentuate my hour glass. But after another few days of wearing it, I noticed it was not only squishing my tummy down around my hips (yay) but up around my back so I had more noticeable back fat. Not yay. However it has done wonders for my posture! I sit up straighter when on the computer and driving as well, which is a huge bonus because I have awful posture.

I don't think I will wear it for the wedding though, the dress I ended up buying compliments my figure really well.

The squished skin, etc has to go somewhere. Either out the top or bottom. Neither will be attractive on me. No thanks.

@Sweet666 both corsets and cinchers will make your posture better, but wearing them daily will cause your back muscles to become weaker without exercise. Normal waist training (things stay in place after the cincher comes off) takes a long time to achieve. The skin being pushed up is from wearing it too tight too soon, or sometimes the length of it is too short.

So it turns out that historians found that corsets didn't actually do serious damage to internal organs unless they were severely tightened as they were in the 1880s. However, there is some concern about putting pressure on major arteries - which can also happen with spanx, believe it or not.

If you are debating wearing it for your wedding, make sure it won't so through and be sure to bring it to all fittings.

    @JoRocka what's with the hastags?

@patches I think the cincher may be too short? I'm rather comfortable in it though, I have it on the outer hook and I have worn corsets before so I don't believe it's too tight.

I have that one too! I've been wearing it to change my shape. I love it! I was cleaning the house with it on a few weeks ago. LOL!

I'm going to have boning in my dress so I don't need to wear one.
