Wear the dress you love! That is the one think that I think only your opinion matters on.

Do not get another dress because of her opinion. It’s not her wedding so she doesn’t have to wear it. Only opinion that matters is yours.

Go with your gut. If that's your dream dress get married in it! It's her wedding not yours. Do what will make you happy

The way I see it, its your “Something blue”. As long as you love it, who cares what anyone else thinks. She will just have to get over it!

She’s not the one that’s wearing it, you are. It’s your final decision on what dress you want to wear on your special day. If your comfortable, confident, and love that dress..go for it! My third bridal appointment I went by myself..and oh boy was it a relief to not have so many opinions thrown my direction.

You should wear the dress that makes you happy

So, one of the lessons I learned the fastest once our wedding planning began is that everyone will have an opinion about something. Your FMIL may not like your dress because of the color, but if you were to change your dress to please her, someone else won't like your new dress because of the style, the cut, the sleeves, whatever. You name it, and someone won't like it. And it seems like everyone and the horse they rode in on feels the need to let you know of their displeasure at whatever nonsense they're yapping about.

It's your wedding day. You wear whatever dress you feel most beautiful and confident in, whether it be blue, red, black, or rainbow polka dots. You're the bride, not your FMIL or anyone else. If she brings it up to you again I would just say something along the lines of "Thank you very much for your opinion. While I do appreciate your input, this is my dress, I absolutely love it, and this is what I want to wear when I walk down the aisle and exchange vows with (fiancé's name) on our wedding day. I am not changing it". Be respectful, but firm.

And I think your dress is lovely and you will make a stunning bride in your beautiful blue wedding gown!

It's not up to her what dress you wear to your wedding. Only you can make that decision. It's really none of her business at all!!

Next time she brings it up, just smile sweetly and tell her, "thanks for your input, but I'll be wearing what I want to get married in."

Wear your dream dress! It’s YOUR wedding and you should choose your dress. I’ve had a few people comment that my dress is too “plain” but their opinions don’t matter because I know my FH will love it and I feel beautiful and comfortable in it.
