Colorado Venues?

Ashley, on November 29, 2018 at 6:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

Hello all, I recently just got engaged, we are thinking October 2020 for the wedding. We are wanting to stay under a $10k budget. Are there any venues that give discounts for early reservation? Also, are there any venues/locations you guys know about that are inexpensive and nice for a wedding?

Thanks!

Also, if there is a Facebook wedding exchange group in Colorado that you know of let me know!! I've been looking and the only exchange pages I've seen are in Utah!

Recycled weddings I'm a Colorado bride too. Fox run park, the lake house of evergreen Fox Meadows chateaux I'm getting married in November 2020 and I'm getting it for a steal

Hi Ashley! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats on your engagement! That's great that you're thinking about budget & venue so early-on!

What's your venue vision? Are you open to an outdoor wedding ceremony? Are you hoping for ceremony and reception to be in the same location?

Hi Ashley! Congrats from a fellow Colorado bride! What kind of venue are you looking for?

I didn't find any that gave discounts for early booking. If you are doing a smaller wedding, the Grant Humphrey mansion in Denver is beautiful and affordable, however, the dancing is in the basement ballroom and it's completely DIY. The local city and state parks also have some very inexpensive DIY venues (you have to find the date they open for reservations and book the moment they open or they go). Chautauqua dining hall in Boulder does tent and indoor weddings for very reasonable prices.

If you're looking for a more all-inclusive venue I would check out the Wedgewood venues in the area, but to stay under 10K you're looking at a Friday or Sunday wedding or offseason.

We toured venues 19 months out and didn't hear anything about discounts for early reservations. I think the "discount" you'll receive is locking in the 2018/2019 rate rather than the 2020 rate. Congratulations! We are getting married in Larkspur in July. We looked at lots of venues. These were the cheaper ones: Ten Bears Winery in Laporte, CO (didn't charge a venue fee, you just had to use their alcohol), Casa Vista in Fraser, CO ($2,400 for Saturday), Marriott on Horsetooth in Fort Collins (I don't remember the rate, but they had a pretty back room with bistro lights and it was affordable), The Wort Hotel (Jackson Hole, WY) $500-$1,000, Trail End Historic Site (Sheridan, WY) $200, Aspen Grove at Sundance Trail (Red Feather Lakes, CO) $250-$450, Bentwood Inn (Jacksonville, WY) $500-$2,000, Green Briar Inn (Boulder, CO) $1,200-1,800. I hope that helps!

"Resale Wedding and party items in Denver, Colorado and surrounding areas", "Recycled Wedding - The Good, The Bad, and the ugly", "Recycled Wedding (Colorado)", "Denver Wedding Network"!

I'm not sure about the pricing for this place since I went as a guest, but Hillside Gardens in Colorado Springs was incredibly beautiful and romantic. And I feel like the bride & groom were on a budget, but it worked out really well

What type of venue are you looking for? I’m also a Colorado bride so I’ve looked at just about everything in the northern area. Do you know what part of the state you’re wanting?

I'm looking for something outside, and kind of rustic. I'm wanting to stay in Northern Colorado, like Laporte, Fort Collins, Bellvue, and Estes. I did find a venue that I like, it's in Westminster and it seems pretty affordable, it's called NOAHS of Westminister. It's tough to find a lot of affordable options in noco!

NoCo is SO expensive! I don’t know the price, but look into sweetheart winery in loveland. I was just there for a wedding and it was beautiful. I’m getting married in Estes but the venue wouldn’t be achievable under 10K. I’ve seen people do the YMCA up there though and it’s beautiful! Look into Highland Meadows Barn golfcourse. I can’t remember the cost but I think it was affordable. Ellis ranch. Look up in Red Feather too! Oh and Lyons! Don’t be afraid of Brighton, Longmont, loveland, greeley etc. if you get out of the main towns like foco and Estes the prices drop a lot!

I’m in the same boat/budget just for a March 2020 wedding! We’re touring a few venues next week that seem reasonable, I’ll report back what I find out! Smiley smile

Okay here’s what I’ve found so far:

-If you’re willing to go a bit into the mountains, Silverthorne Pavilion is the best value I’ve found. It’s $1020 to rent in the off season, and allows you to bring in your choice of any catering, even home-baked food.
-The Curtis Ballroom has no rental fee, just per person minimums. For March, it was a $30 pp. it’s a bit plain and simple, but not a bad deal.
-Christies at Genesee was absolutely beautiful and fairly priced. Not cheap necessarily, but also not insane. I’m looking at $6500 for all set-up/rental/food/DJ/basic decorations.
-I’m also looking at Three Trees Chapel soon! Best of luck to you!
