Color scheme and invitations

Hi all!


I’m unsure what color/theme to do for my wedding invitations.
Background: Venue is an old steakhouse and Ceremony is on the patio with flowers in May. Inside, where receptions is, is dark colors with dark red walls and dark wood all around. Not having much decor other than white table cloths, plain candles and Table with card box and guest book. I was thinking of doing a pale lavender for maid of honor dress and our bouquets have lavender.
My question is do I design invitations based on the reception or the color I have chosen? Its an intimate wedding with big reception, so most won’t see the patio/ceremony. Just seems silly to have a lavender color theme when it doesn’t match what most wont see.
