Hey! Are there any stressed out college students?

The wedding planning, homework, and work have me going crazy some days but it will all be so worth it.

What are you all going to school for and how is it impacting wedding planning?

I work full time at a hospital because nursing was my original major so I was exploring that but now I am becoming a special education teacher while continuing to work in the medical field for now. Smiley tongue

Definitely super stressed out... I’m in medical school, currently doing rotations. Finished my third year of medical school today and wedding is in 6 weeks.

I totally understand your struggle. I work 60+ hours in the hospital every week (rotations) and get home to study because I have an exam at the end of each one of those rotations. I can’t wait to travel back home and get some rest in between wedding planning activities before starting my married life and last 8 months of electives towards my MD degree!

Ahhh yes! When we got engaged I was in the midst of a 9 credit summer school semester (we went to California on a pre-planned vacation for an entire week out of the 7 week semester that I took 9 credits of chemistry and anatomy!) I was a full time student this past fall and this semester I’m part time. I’m going back to school for an accelerated, 15 month BSN program for 2nd degree students. My program starts 9 days after our wedding and the day after we get back from our honeymoon! I lose motivation to wedding plan a lot because I’ve been so focused on the goal of nursing school. I’m to the point in my semester where I’ve been accepted to my program and I’m doing well in my classes- so right now for the last monthish before our wedding I’m able to focus more on the wedding and less on school. Not easy, but worth it :-) I’ve been working 16 hours/wk at a children’s hospital throughout this and will continue to during nursing school!

Congratulations on everything. I'm going to school for Data Science and I graduate in May. It's not affecting planning for me because school is our number 1 priority. We have been engaged for 4 years and we don't plan anything until I'm on a break. We are getting married in June. We didn't want anything that would distract me from finishing school (I'm easily distracted).

I graduate 6 days before my wedding as an optometrist! Woohoo to finally becoming a doctor 🙃. I have to have 2 weddings, so I’m done planning the traditional American wedding and now focusing on my traditional Nigerian wedding. It’s a lot and some days I just want to crawl into a corner and do nothing but others days I am like yes! 70 days until it’s all over 💖

This was me last semester! I was a full-time student, working part time at a law firm, applying to law school, and planning my wedding. I chose to graduate in December since I had enough credits and it was such a stressful semester. I didn’t want to spend another semester completely stressed out. It was a lot to juggle, but I knew it would be worth it in the end. It’s so nice to only be working while planning now and no longer having to worry about class or homework.

School full time, work full time and wedding planning. It can get so stressful!! So i have been taking a weekend every month for no wedding stuff, no planning, no working and just spending quality time with my FH! He is so helpful which takes a big chunk of the stress away!

I'm a music education major going through student teaching now. It is a LOT. We planned a longer engagement to help out so we will have about a year after I graduate before we actually get married. I'm trying to focus on the school part right now because in the long run having a degree and a job are more important than a party, even if it is our wedding! We've found our venue, and my only other goal during the semester to get our guest list straight.

Yes I am a full time medical assistant working at an ophthalmologist/dermatology/surgery center I am cross trained and work very long hours I am also a nursing student so its been very hard keeping balance I feel like I don’t have enough hours in the day. I totally think it is worth it though I sometimes wonder where I get my energy lol. My fiancé has been a huge help he has been taking the reigns in planning everything for the wedding I’m in charge of the decoration part of it. He calls all the vendors and has been booking them we have all our vendors booked now thanks to him. He’s super detail oriented and has been working on the timeline and guest count. He has turned into a groomzilla from time to time 🤣

Giiirrrrrlllll... it is stressful. And living in NYC, wedding planners are too expensive so it’s all on me.
I work and go to school full time so this has just been a very crazy time for me.

What I’ve done is set aside days after work. Monday and Friday I get hw done
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I get wedding stuff done.

Just have to manage but also take time to step away from it. I don’t do any planning on the weekends.

It is stressful though, and if you don’t have an outlet you may crumble. Take a yoga class or painting or dance or something. Go to the gym. Go out with friends. Go on date nights with your FH.
Take time to enjoy engagement bc you’ll never get that time back.

I’m working towards my Masters in Social Work, work in a school, fiancé just bought a house, have a 2.5 year old and planning wedding. If I make it to my wedding not gray or white haired I’ll be surprised 🤣

as of of right now we might push off wedding a month or to early following year bc of house buying, and graduation timing for me but not sure yet

I work full time in the engineering/construction industry (early mornings, long hours) and go to grad school part time for engineering project management, so I totally get the stress! This semester is my last heavy workload, so hardcore wedding planning has been on pause until I can get to the end of this semester. I've just been chipping away at the things I can request info, research, and book in a couple hours, but major items just have to wait.

My mom and fiance both tell me they will help with planning, but it's just hard to tell people what you need help with when you don't even know yourself.

Glad I'm not the only one in the struggle!

I think this public is full of weary students. There's probably a lot of them already married. Remember those moments when they were students planning their wedding. I watched my friends while preparing for the wedding because of their busy studies using the writing service https://paperell.com/essay-help to order help write essay on different subjects. My preparation for my wedding during college was just crazy. There were a lot of tasks and I didn't always have time to combine work, study and wedding stuff. Sometimes I just had to spend the nights choosing a host for a wedding event, choosing a restaurant decor.
