Clear Wedding Invitations

Nancy, on November 8, 2019 at 2:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Has anyone done the clear/plastic or acrylic invitations? I need some advice! I really love them and think they are so pretty!! But my biggest concern is of course shipping costs. My FH loves them, so it made me want to do them even more lol

I haven't done them but if you haven't already, I would look into sellers who do them on Etsy. I'm pretty sure it also depends on where they'd be shipping from.

I read somewhere the average acrylic invitation cost around $1.20 to ship. To multiply that by the amount of invitations you have.

Another option would be invitations printed on clear paper! They're much cheaper to ship and you get the same chic effect. Basic Invite has a ton of beautiful design options: https://www.basicinvite.com/wedding/wedding-invitations/clear-wedding-invitations.html.

    Hey Nancy!

Acrylic invitations really do look beautiful, but their downside is their weight. Do you have a large guestlist? Will you have to pay for postage to a lot of people?

I would look into some companies that sell them to figure out the average weight per invitation and inquire with the post office how much an envelope that weight would roughly cost. You will then be able to figure out if they are within your budget!

Have you seen any designs that you love?
