I've really been struggling with coming up with a theme/colors because we have no reception venue. But I've finally decided on what I want. So anyway, I know this lady who is an interior designer, and she messaged me on fb and told me that she loves my wedding theme and has all kinds of ideas and...

I've really been struggling with coming up with a theme/colors because we have no reception venue. But I've finally decided on what I want.

So anyway, I know this lady who is an interior designer, and she messaged me on fb and told me that she loves my wedding theme and has all kinds of ideas and would love to help me.. for no charge! Because I had helped her out a lot a few years ago when a mutual friend of ours died.. (Of course I'll give her a gift or pay her)

So anyway.. I told her I want a chic, classy, country bbq Smiley smile And she has sent me all kinds of ideas that I'm so excited about and I wanted to share them with you!

-an old canoe filled with wild flowers

-big galvanized tins filled with ice and drinks! (love that idea)

-mason jars, which was already my #1 idea

-parasols

-and, my personal favorite, s'more favors! and at the end we'll have a big bon fire where we can all make our own s'mores Smiley smile

so what do you girls think?! have any more ideas to add??

    Ooo heavnsnt, there are so many individual things from each of those that I love!! Smiley smile I'm gonna have to save them all.

    This is what I came up with. Just to give myself some inspiration, and to put all my thoughts and ideas into a visualization for FS and my mom Smiley smile

    Yeah, that's where I found those bride & groom signs! FS and I are going to make them though, because he does wood burning Smiley smile We're probably going to copy a lot of her stuff by DIYing it instead of buying it.. Shhh don't tell Smiley winking

    These are great! I love the wooden planter crate! We used Mason jars for my brother's wedding at my parents' former house. We just used them around the perimeter of the yard and the circular flower garden. It was simple and chic. We also had small terra cotta pots with flowers in them that were the centerpieces/favors.

    This is what I had had as my theme for forever when we were getting married in Yosemite National Park. I had envisioned of renting out a cabins place, doing our own catering, having a bonfire as part of the reception and all of that.

    Just google "chic country wedding", "mountain wedding", "western themed wedding", "vintage country wedding", etc. I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but all those weddings have details that are always nice to look at and get ideas from.

    I got rid of all the pics/inspiration boards once I changed my venue (it's now a boat). The ladies here have given you great pictures to look at Smiley smile

    If you look in these wedding blogs, in their real weddings section... I found so much inspiration here! It's time consuming, but so fun to see what others have done Smiley smile
