Church vs Chapel/Garden Wedding

Angelica, on October 12, 2017 at 12:51 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I'm in a little predicament. I'm planned to get married in a church but something came up, we got a little hiccup. I can still marry in a church but we would might have to change the date. But as a chapel/garden wedding we may get married the day that we have planned or even earlier. I'm a little confused, and don't really know what I can. My son is walking me down the aisle, can he still do that without doing it at Church? If i don't marry in church that means thatGod will not bless our wedding?? There are other questions. So can anyone give your input on this, you would really help. Thank you!

You can have your son walk you down the aisle in almost any venue you choose .

I hope I answered your question Smiley smile

There are chapels here in the Chicago area you can use for your wedding ceremony. And, of course, your son would be more than welcome to walk you down the aisle. Best wishes!

@angelica - Answer still stands. Your son can walk you down the aisle if you choose. As for the second part of your question, if you are a practicing Catholic I would encourage you and your FH to meet with your priest. Have a conversation about the expectations for preparing for marriage and then follow your heart.

Your son can walk you down the aisle, and if you don't get married in a Catholic church, you can USUALLY have your church do a blessing/convocation afterwards.
