Hi fellow Christian brides!
Aside from your ceremony, how else are you incorporating your faith in your wedding?

We had a micro wedding with few decorations, but I did ask our our officiant to include the Lord’s Prayer and Benediction before he pronounced us husband and wife.

We’re having one of our dads pray before our reception meal, and my FH and I might tell the story of how God brought us together (because there’s no way it was anything or anyone other than God). But other than these things and our ceremony, we haven’t really thought of anything else

The biggest thing we did to incorporate our faith was to stand faithful to our marriage. We did not live together beforehand or any of that fun stuff.

We attended Christian based pre-marital counseling.

We surrounded ourselves with people who have successful marriages.

During the ceremony we took communion which isn't routine for our denomination.

During our reception we had both our mentor and my father say prayers.

We played contemporary worship music during our reception brunch (we also played secular music after food was over).

    Our reception was dry.

My husband wore a tie pin with a cross.

    My dress was modest.

My biggest suggestion when planning a Christian wedding is to not compromise your values and beliefs just because that's what's done. Focus on your marriage being the foundation and the wedding just being a celebration of it Smiley smile

We have several signs that have scripture on them, the aisle signs are the words to 1 Corinthians 13, and we're doing Communion during the ceremony. Some one will pray before the meal as well. My bridesmaids are, also, walking down to "When God Made You", and the parents/grandparents are walking down to "You Raise Me Up".

I honestly didn't really other than having the pastor say a Bible verse and pray during the ceremony. But I've been to receptions where they pray before dinner serves.

We’ve got a couple of things planned! We are going to do a unity braid during the ceremony. The verse that goes with it is Ecclesiastes 4:12, “a cord of three stands is not easily broken”. Our pastor requires pre marital counseling so we are working on that. Also my dad is going to say a prayer for our rehearsal dinner festivities and dinner at the reception.
