Hi All!

Both the FH and I like cheese more than cake, so we've decided to go with a Cheese Wheel Wedding "Cake", and a buffet of other sweet treats instead. I love how cute this idea is all over the internet... but the more I look into it, the more I'm finding that they all appear to be DIY.

I suppose this isn't the end of the world, but does anyone know of anyplace (in the NYC area) where you can purchase an ALREADY ASSEMBLED and DECORATED Cheese Wheel Wedding "Cake"? Murray's cheese keeps coming up in my searches, but that just appears to be where one can PURCHASE the cheese, and any assembling/decorating is up to you.

Thank you!!

**EDITED- Pic added for inspiration!

PS- yeah yeah... we're gonna cut the cheese... I know, I know Smiley tongue

This is amazing I've never heard of this! I'm going to see if my venue will allow us to bring this in as a before dinner snack with grapes, apples and crackers! Thanks for sharing!

@Sarah C if it helps i can take a picture of our estimate. It was for 90 people and gave the different weights of each cheese needed.

@Simca actually yes! That would be great!! I'm worried about being led into crazy expensive cheese territory by a cheesemonger, so some context would be great. Thank you!

Hey--have you thought about Beecher's by Union Square, Stinky in Cobble Hill or Bedford Cheese Shop in Williamsburg/Union Square?

I showed this to my mom when I saw it on pinterest - it's not my style, but it's definitely hers! We plan to do this for the next birthday party we have for her!

Local cheese shops should be able to order the cheese wheels and then assemble it for you. Call Greenwich Cheese Shop in Greenwich, CT and see if they can do that and decorate it with grapes, etc. for a small fee. I go to their sister store in Fairfield, CT all the time!

The cheeses are in order of height bottom up. If i remember rightly he said to estimate 100g per person and that not everybody will have it. We have approx 120 guests and have the cheese for 90 guests

You're welcome! I love cheese especially the black bomber. Hope you find one for yourself. If you do have to assemble it, it is really easy to do Smiley smile

If you're in NJ, I'll come and do it if you let me take the leftovers.

But on a practical note.....it's probably going to cost more than you think, but I'd be all over it.

This is amazing. In all honesty though, just stack the cheese yourself. Do you serve preserves on the side? This is cool.

This is genius .... I am so regretting my wedding cake right now. I love cake, but not half as much as cheese!

I know some local fromageries that do this. I would like to be invited to a wedding that has this
