There's also a place in Canton that's all inclusive (even dj) but I don't remember what it's called. I've just seen billboards for it.

I can't help with specifics to Ohio, but generally: easiest way to save money is to cut the guest list. 150 isn't a small wedding.

Second, choose a Thursday/Sunday wedding or non-prime season like January-March.

All inclusive venues tend to be cheaper than DIY.

All else aside, $10k for 150 people is going to be a challenge even if you have the entire $10k dedicated to food and booze.

Suggestion? Cut the list.

Actually guys, here's that's a pretty average budget and guest list. Mine was $12k for 120 people, and I spent more than I wanted on my dress and upgraded a few other things.

Our venue with catering was $5k, and that was after upgrading some food and to top shelf bar.

We're getting married near Youngstown at the Mahoning Country Club. Their pricing is extremely reasonable.

Agreed, I'm just outside of Cleveland and it's fairly inexpensive here. Is Strongsville near you? Michauds is very inexpensive and also nice.

I just looked up guys part center ... as bemyguest suggested ... no lie that place is a great deal .. I'm in Philadelphia ... that price is untouchable . ... and it includes centerpieces alcohol, food , cake for $48 on a Saturday peek season... it's not the most amazing venue appearance wise but definitly workable on your budget ...

Guys is amazing. Their food is incredible, the service can't be beat, and it's been owned by the same family for 3 generations. They also do off season and Friday/Sunday pricing.

And it happens to be owned by friends of our, but I remembered that after I booked it. Plus it was my dad's first job- dishwashing at 14. So it's got some cool history. Nothing pretty around to take pics at though, unless you're into wedding pics at Goodwill.

FH and I are in Cincinnati and with only 50 people we have the same budget that you do. Our ceremony/reception is all in one location and we're paying $900 for use of the venue. There is a venue 2500 food/bev minimum and we're looking to spend about 4500 there. Then add in the 3k for our photographer we're almost through the budget. We still need dj, officiant and floral. It's going to be tight.
