Cheap venue

Joan, on May 2, 2019 at 1:26 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 6
Hi can someone please help me find an inexpensive BYO wedding venue in NJ. I would like an outdoors ceremony. All of the venues that I see are like $5000 up just for the venue not including anything else!

I would look for park pavilions and things like that. I feel like barns (and everything here in NJ) are super expensive to rent then you have the added expense of all the other rentals and catering.

Bogeys Cafe and then McFadden Catering (they have several venues).

Depending on the size of your wedding I would look into the venue I'm getting married in September- Bishop Farmstead in South Jersey. The caterer they work with is reasonably priced and has discounts depending on day/season you're getting married, and the venue is BYO but the per person cost of catering covers mixers, bar staff, glassware, ice, garnishes, etc.. The caterer has a basic menu and you can upgrade from there if you wish! Good luck with your search!

    Hi Joan,

I too recommend the Bishop Farmstead. It’s where I’m getting married this year. Found this great venue after a lot research. The barn is beautiful for the reception with an outside area for the ceremony and a separate area for cocktail hour. The venue includes tables, chairs, linens etc and also it is BYO alcohol. Jeffrey A Miller Catering is the exclusive cater at this venue. They have many food options and the packages include the wedding cake. They also have other venues in NJ and PA. Take a look at the link below.

I'm also using Jeffrey Miller as my caterer at one of their PA venues (Aldie Mansion). I highly recommend checking their venues out. They're all really unique and many have outdoor ceremony location options. In NJ in addition to Bishop Farmstead they also have Waterloo Village. Catering pricing is reasonable and they have a few different tiers so you can customize as needed. Their menu changes since they focus on farm-to-table, fresh ingredients, etc. If unique food and an outdoor space is on your wish list, I'd definitely check them out.
