Would you be able to possibly contact the place you got the STD's from and just have them reprint new ones they do that at some places and give you a code for either them just to replace them or a discount code.

I understand the feeling. Sorry to hear about your situation but everything will turn out ok. We had to change our date as well due to financial set backs and had to dip into our savings as well.
