Changing Wedding Date

Stacey, on December 4, 2019 at 3:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
My fiance and I don't really like the date we decided to get married as neither of us are really a fan of summer. I always wanted to get married in the fall, but my sister was supposed to. However, two months ago she called off her engagement. My fiance and I have been talking to venue to see what dates they have left for either late September or October and the only date they have left is when my sister was supposed to be getting married. Do you think it would be okay to get married when she was originally scheduled to or should we just stick with the date we originally choose?

I would honestly get her feedback on it. It might be fine, but if anyone is going to have an issue with it I would imagine it would be her.

I don’t know your sister or the circumstances which caused her engagement to end, but I personally think it would be incredibly disrespectful to choose the date she had planned on getting married. This isn’t some acquaintance or 3rd cousin. It’s your sister.

They got into a really bad fight one night. She admitted to cheating on him and he left the house. She gave him back the ring several days later.

I personally wouldn't choose the date that they were going to get married on. That could put some tension on your relationship and make your wedding day difficult for her because it was supposed to be hers.
