Changing wedding colors

Jamieka, on March 3, 2020 at 2:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 26
Omg! Anyone else struggling to decide on wedding colors? For the last 9 months I have had my mind set one a trio of colors. And in the last few days I have been leaning towards changing it. Luckily this won’t impact much as my girls haven’t gotten their dresses yet. Wedding planning is driving me nuts 🙄🤪

If you don’t really have a specific color then a couple ideas is to go with the theme of your venue ie barn - light pink with brown and cream or go with the season colors ie. Fall - maroon and white or dark orange hues

I’m thinking of just changing my blue. Initially I had navy blue and mauve with some gray. I really am loving dusty blue lately.

I ended up picking my favorite flowers first then picking my dress color based on that. 😊

I originally wanted navy blue, gold and blush pink but then we decided on a fall wedding so I changed blush to burgundy. Which is ending up working because the burgundy dress we picked fits all the bridesmaid skin tones

I love the Dusty Rose color but its a tad hard so its that and Blush. I left it up to my groom to pick his suit color and that would determined our other color. Well we are getting married in July and he mention Navy.. and together I love the colors. So happy he went with Navy.. We are also going to add some Rose gold to our center pieces to pop it out as well... itll flow once you figure it out.

Our venue was a long ago right person's home that had been an Inn for many years. All dark carved woodwork, or cream, with gold trim, faceted glass, elegant multicolred stuff. My dress pale gold. And I generously said, not these colors ( pastels, neon pink or lime, other super brights ). But all can be different styles and colors. One was thinking sienna, one cinnamon, one a red wine, one deep orange. So I thought, fall leaves and such, for colors. Made plans, checked out rentals. They all lived a ways from me, and did not know each other. The shopped the same week, themselves. A 5 month engagement, so 3 looked in salons and off the rack. And all got different shades or blue greens. So I showed my Matron pictures, and she pulled out the dark blue than green velvet dress she had bought in Montreal. 3 months out, back to start over . But each nice, they blended well, and FI had bought a midnight blue tux. But all my plans ... Out the window.
