Change the Date Cards

Cherthelove, on June 22, 2020 at 4:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

Hi girls,

My fiance and I just decided to postpone about a week ago due to the covid crisis etc., We originally sent out our STDs in March for our October wedding. We now have our new wedding date set. I am seeking a cost-effective yet elegant way for us to get the CTDs out. I'm not sure if I should send CTDs to everyone. I plan on sending out an email to close friends and international guests tonight and we've already told our immediate family's'. What do you guys think? Thanks!!

I think that's fine as long as you email everyone the info so they have it on hand

We have a ton of older guests who don’t do email, so that wasn’t a great option for us. I designed ours on Canva and had them printed through Costco. The cards cost like $30 for 100. Just an option if email doesn’t work for everybody!

You can go to CatPrint.com and get a PDF copy of a change the date card. I took that copy and printed at WalMart 40 copies plus envelopes for $25

I only sent them to people I don't talk to in my every day life. People who I work with and immediate family, I told verbally.

Contact the company that printed your save the dates. I used Shutterfly for our magnets and they have us a credit for them because we postponed due to COVID so we only had to pay for shipping (and stamps). I think a lot of companies have similar coronavirus policies.

Good advice - Minted offered me a 50% code since I purchased the STDs from them, I'll see what works out better.

I sent out change the dates because it would have been right around when people would be expecting the formal invitation. It was a little extra expense but I didn't want to scramble for emails and hope people got them. We chose a more petite sized card, nothing fancy on the back. It wasn't too terrible to pay for them. We actually got a lot of positive feedback that the change the date was pretty classy looking so I am feeling good about that.
