Change of Reception Venue

Very long story short. We needed to change our reception venue. Invitations have already been sent and out of town guest have already booked there hotel room. I'm less than 40days from the wedding. How do I let my guest know there has been a change? Do I put in insert in the wedding program? Call or text everyone? Send a update letter or notice with the new location/directions?

Excited for the new location it's actually the same distance to and from the church and the hotel (for out of town guest). Nicer and a better deal.

Call your guests. Don't wait until they're at the ceremony to let them know the reception venue has changed.

Change your website and call your guests. Even a text would work for some!

I think you should have something in the program with the address. Since the church is the same and the hotels are the same, I don't imagine it'll be too big of an issue. I also think a call with a heads up would probably be appreciated, I don't think a letter is necessary. In the same token, you know your guests and have a better idea of how upset they might be if you didn't call and they found out last minute.

I would call and let people know. I think having something in the program or an announcement at the ceremony is also a good idea. I think sometimes people skip the ceremony, so if you don't call everyone and let them know ahead of time, those who don't attend the ceremony will be lost!
