Champagne or Ivory? Help me choose please!

Lizzie, on October 24, 2019 at 10:51 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

So, I found my dress! I am so excited, however, I am having the hardest time deciding what color to go with. I tried it on in champagne and LOVED it, then the stylist (so sweet by the way) showed me a photo of it in the ivory and everything changed! I am so torn. My mom made a good point in saying that the Ivory may be more "bridal" feeling. I feel like you might be able to see the lace detail more with the champagne, which is so unique with hummingbirds and butterflies Smiley heart

It's the Potter dress by Floravere if you want to look at other pics of the dress. Its this cute little women owned pop-up style brand I found with the COMFIEST dresses. I'm so happy I found them and my dress here, and they gave me some extra time to decide between the two colors, I am just so torn!

I'm adding photos of the champagne that I tried on, and I just have the one photo of the Ivory from the stylist! Thanks for the help!

The champagne is beautiful, but I'm almost always team ivory/white for wedding dresses. I agree with your mom that the ivory looks more bridal Smiley smile

I agree with PP. I prefer the ivory, I agree that it looks more bridal than the champagne.

I love the champagne on your skin! Softer color and the details of a dress pop more on a two-toned or champagne color. But if you want a more traditional bridal look than go for ivory.

    Beautiful!

As the pp said, I love the champagne on your skin! It looks so pretty! The ivory is more traditional and is gorgeous as well, but there's something about the champagne color that I just loveeee Smiley love

I LOVE the champagne! The color makes it more unique and definitely brings out all the lace details which are beautiful Smiley smile

I also battled with this with my dress and ended up picking the champagne. That being said, my dress has a lot more lace/embroidery on it - all of which is ivory. So as a whole, my dress looks more ivory than yours.
In this case, I prefer the ivory!

The champagne is beautiful!! I had a blush/champagne dress and I loved it. It looked so much better with my skin than ivory or white and it was bridal. Here it is... it was layers of blush and champagne in different shades so in most pictures it was a little different shade. Did you try on any ivory dresses? Did you like them with your skin/on you? Hope this helps💕

Normally I am biased towards Ivory, but with the detailing of your dress I love the Champagne and agree that it brings out the butterflies and hummingbirds more. Let us know what you decide!

Just choose the color that looks best against your skin tone. I chose ivory because it looked more flattering.

Right!? I tried on some Ivory and even a pale blue here! I was leaning towards Ivory on others but the champagne is pretty on this one specifically so I'm struggling haha. I'll keep you updated! So many good points in these responses though!!

They're both beautiful. I agree that the designs aren't going to stand out as much on the ivory dress as on the champagne. I would say go with whichever fits the vibe of your wedding. I feel like the champagne has more of a vintage or boho feel while the ivory is more traditional.
