Ceremony/reception decor?

April, on October 27, 2019 at 9:03 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8
What is everyone doing for decor? Luckily our venue provides centerpieces we can choose from, I’m trying to avoid hiring a florist so I probably won’t be using much floral decor.. we’re having a November wedding so I'm thinking some fall themed stuff but our venue itself is beautiful and I’m not sure how much I’m willing to spend on decor/ how many people actually notice the decor? 🤔 they also provide us with a lit backdrop for the ceremony.

If your venue provides centerpieces, I'm not sure what other decor you would need.

If you have a lovely venue and centerpieces provided, you’re in good shape! If you want uplights can bring in your colors or really create a great mood/glow. We rented cordless ones from RentMyWedding for only $25 each (with free shipping).

Did you want any florals for the ceremony? I hired a florist to do bouquets for myself and bridesmaids and well as boutineer and corsages for family. I'm going to buy grocery store flowers and make centerpieces myself to save money.

That’s the answer I’m looking for 🤣 there’s so much that can be done but I feel like decor is such an unnecessary expense.. I’ll prob decorate the card table in addition to centerpieces but that’s probably about it

I’ve seen a lot of people put up an easel with a photo of the couple with flowers or tea lights surrounding the photo. It’s a nice touch to add to an entrance of a reception hall or ceremony setup that welcomes guests.

I did my own centerpieces with artificial flowers and other lil accessories I found at the dollar tree but I'm creating my own welcome sign with our names on it since I have good handwriting and have flowers around it. The venue does provide easels. But I'm not over doing it . I dont want nothing looking cluttered.
