Ceremony and reception, 2 places...do I give directions?

Hopeless Romantic, on February 15, 2017 at 1:13 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 2

Since the ceremony and reception are about 3 miles apart, I have no idea how to tell guests how to get to the reception.

Any cute ideas?

I did print out address to the reception on the invitations, but do I need to do anything more?

Are you using a wedding website? If so that would be a great place to have a section for directions. I'm using screen shots of google maps (edited of course to the correct size) as well as descriptions the few options people have for those who are traveling from farther away (our venue is about an hour away from our home). If you're really worried about it, you could print off a small sheet of directions, keeping it very simple, and either tuck them in with the invitation suite or have them on hand at the ceremony to have the ushers hand out to people as they are leaving. Usually in today's world though, using a gps/phone for directions is common unless you have any older family or friends who are not so tech savvy.
