central park in November?!

Desire, on September 28, 2019 at 2:00 AM Posted in New York Planning 0 7
Hey Ladies my fiance and I want to elope in New York. We have 20 guests max. We definitely wanted to get married at the Bethesda location but how cold is New York in November? Also does anyone know any locations or even free to elope in New York? Help!

It can get fairly cold in November, here. Generally below 50F, often much colder than that. Also, it gets dark early... and we've had a very rainy year, so keep that in mind.

NYC parks require a permit for a wedding, so your best bet is to start by looking at their website for their rules, restrictions, and fees.

    Hey Desire!

A New York elopement sounds amazing Smiley smile

Having a ceremony outdoors may be a gamble with the unpredictable weather in November!

I was checking out this WeddingWire article (The 7 Best Places to Elope in the U.S.) and came across this NYC venue, Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers.

Perhaps you could find something similar for your wedding that has an indoor space, yet beautiful views and can accommodate a small party.

As someone who got married at Sunset Terrace, I really can't recommend it enough. Feel free to peruse my photos, it was stunningly gorgeous there, and the food's good, too.

My friends got married in Brooklyn Bridge Park in December so Central Park in November is doable lol. They gave out hand warmers which was a nice touch.

You only are required to have a permit if you have 20 or more people so if OP could get it down to 19, they could have a "free" CP wedding.
