Centerpieces: Tall, Short, or Both?

Lynnie, on June 13, 2018 at 4:20 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 22

Which centerpiece style will you have at your wedding? Tall, short, or both?

Tall centerpieces are eye-catching and help visually transform your venue - but they can also be pricey and keep your guests from being able to easily talk to each other across the table! Low centerpieces are in style and can be a little easier on your budget. 💰 What about both? I chose to do mixed height centerpieces for my wedding to play with the different heights and take the edge off my florist bill! Smiley winking

I love the dynamic of having both. That's our plan anyway. Smiley smile

I’ve chosen tall and short as well. When I visited my venue the first time, that’s how it was set up and it added visual interest to the room. Here’s a pic to give you an idea. Napkins are actually navy though they look black in the photo

^theyll alternate them on the tables. We had both set up just to see how they’d look. The tall one will have fairy lights inside the vase. Shorter has a votive. The lone votive on the table was just because we were looking at them

Short all the way - I’m making ours using stacks of books and reusing the Mason jars of flowers from the aisles from the ceremony. I wanted to save on the floral bill, wanted my guests to be able to see each other, and our space has high ceilings and other natural elements to add visual interest to the space. But if your dinner space doesn’t have a lot of other decor or design, tall centerpieces would be a good way to elevate the overall look of the room for sure!

We just went with shorter centerpieces. Easier on the budget, and it allowed the guests to see everyone at the table.

We are doing both! I think having both looks a lot better than all tall.

We’ll have three heights. Mostly to save money but also because our tall pieces have a fairly large willow branch. The room would look like a forest. 🌳🌳🌳

We're having three different centerpieces so we'll have three different heights.

We're doing low centerpieces. Our venue is a barn and we didn't want to take away from the beautiful natural elements with tall extravagant centerpieces.

We just had short centerpieces... I love short ones but also think a mix of short and tall is pretty too.
