Centerpiece costs

Futuremrsw, on September 21, 2014 at 1:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 43

Hey all!

Just curious if any of you broke down your cost per table for centerpieces/ table decor? Just wondering ballpark what others have spent. I know this site has been glitchy lately, but if you could include pics too that would be great!

Thanks!

I am keeping it simple since we are not doing a full blown dinner reception (and even if we were i would still keep it simple, to me its a waste to spend so much centerpieces)

Ours will be this with submerged flower (florist's choice) surrounded by voltive candles. This will cost us $15 for ea table. Black and white linens and napkins etc will be provided by venue at no additional cost.

Ours were fairly simple. Just one centerpiece per table.

    Champagne floor-length table cloth: $10

    White lace overlay: $14

Books - already owned them (vases sat on top of the books)

Vases - small, round $2.50 a piece (we bought 8)

Birdcages: between $10-$25 (we bought four)

Flowers (we had a florist) - ranged from $35 (we had 4 in this price range) - $45 (we had 8 in this price range)

    Table Number: $1

I can't include pics because I'm on mobile but here's my breakdown for my 2 different centerpieces:

Candle pillars: $4 -14 each (bought individually with 50% off one item coupons from Micheals so $2- 7 each)

Pillar candles: I think like $6 for 3 (again with a coupon so about $1/ each)

Books: Free from my personal stash!

Scatter 'stones': I think 2.99 a bag with a 40% off coupon so my best estimate is about $1/ table since they're all just in a big bin.

Single stem flower: probably about $2

    Total per table: about $14

Oil lamps: Free from my uncle who collects them (probably $2/ table for oil)

Mirrors: I think $2.50/ each with a coupon

    Scatter 'stones': above

    Single stem flower: above

    Total per table: about $8

Averaged out I spent about $11/table for really awesome looking centerpieces plus $1/ piece for antique looking mini frames for the table 'number'.

Edit: I forgot about the votive candles. Bought packs of them with 50 or 40% off coupons so maybe another $1 or $2 per table for those. I love candle light if you couldn't tell. Haha.

I rented candle trees and mirrors. It was $15 per table for the candle tree including the candles, and then $2 per table for the mirrors. I still have to get some sort of scatter or votives. God... $20 per table. I may as well just light the $ on fire.

Our centerpieces are being done by a florist. It is a tall candelabra full with hydraganeas, roses, calla lilies and orchids. The table will have rose petals and votives on the table. We are paying $105 per table.

It was probably $25 or $26 per table. Centerpiece flower cost was about $240. Candles probably cost $30 or so. Seashells cost like $10. There were 11 tables with about 10 people at a table.

Sorry I don't have a picture of my centerpieces. I still have to put them together. But we're having Halloween trees with skulls around it. I got the trees at Michael's & the skulls at Walmart. All I have to do is glue the skulls to the bases of the trees. We averaged it at about $15 for each centerpiece.

If I'm correctly envisioning what I believe you're getting, you got a good deal, Soon to Be Mrs. Compton.

    Ours will be ~$12/table.

We're doing a rustic barn reception, and the white linens will be provided. We're putting a burlap runner (raw edged, bought in bulk) across each table ($2.50/table), then each centerpiece will have 2 old books (from our library), on top of which will be a mason jar $1/ea., with a single large hydrangea bloom ($4/ea.), an antiqued ceramic bird on small pedestal (Michael's on clearance for $2/ea.), a wooden photo frame with the table number $1/ea. (Michael's), and a sprinkle of reindeer moss (~$1.50/per table). (Not including 1 can of chalkboard paint that is being used for a bunch of different projects, but that's only $8.)

We are purchasing our flowers from the DTLA flower mart. I purchase there regularly and met with 2 florists. One will provide roses, spider mums and daisies from. The other will provide all the orchids, calla lilies and lilies. We're purchasing all the vases and candles from a vendor in DTLA as well. My budget for the ceremony, reception cocktail hour and my bouquet is $5,000. We hope to hire a florist who will be willing to arrange our centerpieces.

There will be 25 - 30 tables at the reception and about 15 - 20 at the cocktail hour.

Our centerpieces only are costing around $75 each, pricing is approximate since we haven't finished the floral part and since some stuff was purchased on sale and with coupons.

We will have three large, crackle glass candle goblets (Approx. $15 from BB&B and Boscovs), filled with water and floating, ivory candles ($5, either from BB&B or AC Moore), from there we may have one small floral centerpiece surrounded by the goblets ($45) or three small floral arrangements tucked between the goblets ($30) completed with three tea lights in clear glass holders also surrounding the centerpiece ($2 - tealights from Michaels, glass holders from Ikea). I know, its a little confusing to explain...Picture one is my inspiration, picture two and three is the mock-up (I really don't care for the small floral centerpiece, I want the individual ones but the florist is being a pain about it).

We are going to do these with a 7 inch cylinder glass vase from dollare tree averages out to 20.16 per centerpiece and there are 12 of them. They are pre arranged centerpieces from FiftyFlowers.com. Real flowers but I will have to put them in the vases and go put them on the tables the afternoon of wedding. That is no biggie for me, the money saved is worth the effort.

Probably $100-150 per table. We're doing rectangle tables and will have small flower arrangements, candles, picture frames at different levels the length of the table. Haven't broken down the costs yet.

We're doing super simple and super inexpensive centerpieces. My friend gave me a bunch of old mason jars (free) and I wrapped those in burlap and ribbon (I purchased a spool of burlap at Michael's for about $4 after a coupon and the ribbon was 50 cents per color (I think I bought 3)... this helped me wrap about 25 bottles so far. I'm getting baby's breath from Kroger for $2.99 per bunch (1 bunch per table). I'm not sure what the breakdown is, but its probably about $5 per table, if that.

I'll put my hand up and admit to having spent an OBSCENE amount of money on my centerpieces. I just really love flowers.

Centerpieces - $500 each (including flowers and candles)

Stationery - $55 per table (table names, menus, place cards, not including calligraphy)

    Tablecloths - $40 per table

I'd probably also need to include the chairs, since I didn't like the venue ones so bought my own in...$80 per table.
