No one is arguing but you continuing to insinuate that other people are wrong to posting information the OP might need is actually really rude.

Oddly enough, my mom said that she invited Bon Jovi to our wedding. Needless to say, he didn't RSVP lol.

Bon Jovi would be awesome, but maybe an imposter would be cheaper? My FH and I went to a show last year with lookalikes of Elvis, Madonna, etc and we enjoyed it SO much...good luck!

I invited Barack and Michelle Obama (he was no longer in office) and I rec'd a beautiful letter, signed in ink on his letterhead. My hubby was pretty surprised and impressed.

We re inviting Kristin Chenoweth, but she is actually a dear friend of mine, and we are not expecting her to do anything but enjoy the celebration as a guest. She has been asking about the wedding since FH and I started dating. She loves him and it's kind of adorable.

I hope he comes and does it for free! Never hurts to ask and recently a celebrity threw a party for a middle school girl in our town because she asked him... he didn’t show up but he paid for it and it was pretty cool... things happen sometimes!

We know that he probably wont show up but it would be really awesome if he did. But we would be happy with a response and or autograph. not everything has to be taken so seriously so geez lighten up! This was just supposed to be a fun little post.

I think the part where you said you were asking him to come sing for your wedding rubbed people the wrong way. That's his job. Imagine being a server and a stranger asking you to come wait tables at their wedding for free because they think you're a good server. It's easy to forget that celebrities are just like us and this is their livelihood. Asking anyone to do their job for you for free is just impolite. Being famous doesn't make them less worthy of being paid for what they do.

It's Vegas so maybe someone will crash it lol. It would be awesome to run into one while in my dress on the strip though!

Does it count if FSIL was nominated for a daytime Emmy? Although FH was in an unreleased version of a TLC music video and his mom was on the Family Feud.

Right! Some of these comments are SO serious. Like yeah we get it he is famous and won't just sing for free but it's still fun to dream!

You get that he won't, but ask anyway? It's the asking part that is rude. "I know you should be paid $1 million for this, but come do it for me for free." Did you put LOL and a laughing emoji after the question? You know, to indicate you are just kidding?

It was Creep. He shows up at 2:22 playing the trumpet and then later on the stairs. I thought he was lying when he first told me and then I saw pics of him as a kid lol. Apparently when you grow up in LA being an extra is basically the norm

No one is saying you can't or shouldn't send out fun invites like to the Obamas or your favorite celebs - but requesting them to perform - which is their job is a very real thing and comes with a real price tag. That is the big difference here and what people are trying to point out. You wouldn't contact a local musician about "hey I'm getting married on the third of november and would love for you to play at the wedding" without expecting them to write back with their contract and cost sheet. You're requesting to employ them in a service they provide at that point. And Idk about OP - but if I did this and got a letter or email back saying "Hey it costs 1.5 million dollars to have Bon Jovi appear at your wedding I would feel very embarrassed to write back "oh hey sorry to waste your time but thats super out of my budget - I was kind of writing in the hopes he would do it for free"
