Celebrating small/big victories

Kimberly, on April 28, 2020 at 3:10 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
Hi all, I wanted to start a thread to celebrate the small (or big!) victories we can share with one another and celebrate the good moments in this rough time. It’s been tough to find motivation to do any wedding planning, so I’m hoping this will spark something for any other bride who is also struggling right now. My small victory is I was able to move the group rate deadline for my guests’ hotel a few months since everyone is dealing with covid. I know it’s not a big deal but wanted to celebrate this small step forward. What’s your small or big victory?

I hear ya! This “guilt” of planning a wedding right now is so real. Although our wedding isn’t until next April, we haven’t even told our friends (our families know) that we’ve selected a venue/date. The main reason is that my FH’s best friend was supposed to be married this weekend, and has since postponed to September. We’re having a destination wedding and wanted to send STDs by like July, but worry that if we send them prior to his wedding, it’ll leave a taste of we’re “taking his thunder”. Aggghhh! Well, so far, our small victories have been having all this extra time on our hands to research the best vendors. Good luck and congrats!!! ❤️

Puppy is almost house trained! Not wedding related but a victory all the same.

Our small victory is that we agreed on our cake topper and it should be arriving between this week and next!! I also decided on my jewelry since I’m bored and have nothing else to do all day. And not really a victory but something to make us smile during this time...we did a happy hour (more like day) and dinner social distance style with my best friend and her husband yesterday and we were discussing all the details and I honestly haven’t been as excited about my wedding as I am now because they were both saying it’s a light at the end of the tunnel for them, something to think about and look forward to next year.
