Celebrate Original Date

Courtney, on April 6, 2020 at 6:28 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 8
I was trying to think of a way to title this thread.... for those who had to postpone how are you celebrating your original date?

We were April 18th. I had been doing so good with my emotions, but this weekend I was a mess. I guess because it is literally next weekend.
I talked to FH and ended up crying on phone. We decided that we would cook something together, maybe watch a movie, and dance together to our first dance song 😊 I'm hoping so much that we will be able to celebrate with our family and friends in June!

That was our date too 😩 Now it’s November. We can’t go anywhere or see anyone so we’ll probably do the same. Dinner and a movie. Love the dancing to our first dance song idea 😍

That’s a great idea! Our date was April 11. We rescheduled for early June. I’m hoping we can still do something to celebrate this Saturday but he’s working nights right now so I don’t know

We were April 1, we decorated the house with flowers and balloons his mom dropped off for us and made a nice dinner. Then we went camping for a mini “honeymoon”! The state parks in Georgia are still open and we were able to do something different and fun, spend time together, and not interact with anyone else lol

We were March 28th and we actually got married, not in the way we planned of course. We met our officiant in the park and it was just us. We cooked something special for dinner together and danced to our song. We had to reschedule until October and we didn't want to lost $94 for our marriage license.

My wedding was supposed to be Thursday this week. I ordered an entire wedding cake and we are celebrating ourselves anyway!

Our original wedding date was this Saturday, April 25, so we've postponed. About 2 weeks ago, my FH was called back to work to serve as disaster relief 1.5 hours away, so I won't be able to see him on the day. Any suggestions on fun ways to celebrate remotely?

Also, family in Europe want to toast the day via Zoom but my heart is not really in it. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
