    I'm paying $7000 for roughly 100 guests.

It includes open bar (5 hours) an hour of passed hors d'ovres (4 kinds), a 4 tier wedding cake, dinner (salad, and entree), coffee station, unlimited wine and soft drinks with dinner (we're going to close the bar during dinner) and a champagne toast for all my guests.

Depending on where you are and what's included I would say 7900 isn't bad :-)

$80 pp with 140...depending on your guest they might not mind you preparing the food yourself. The price you have is pretty good.

$9.99 per person for us. After the main, appetizers, cheese and veggie displays, and added pasta, it will still be under $1500 for 100

Right. If you have servers/ bartender that will raise the price. Also tax and gratuity can add up quickly. Are you doing buffet or sit down?

We are also having a sit down with two choices. The caterer had a list of entrees with different prices for each. Is it a possibility to go with a different entree choice? Maybe 2 instead of 3?

If that includes alcohol, servers, and tax & gratuity that's a good deal. I have a guest list of 75 and was quoted 3900 for food, servers, bartender tax and gratuity. Alcohol is based on how much we want to spend so I haven't decided on that thinking 1200 since it's a Sunday and I don't think as much drinking will take place.

    Rachele,

I am just beginning to plan my wedding, but one of the ideas I am considering is going to a local Culinary Arts school and making an offer to students there ((you can sometimes even ask the teachers to recommend students)). It's a great way to save money and still get professional service. You'll also be helping out students because catering a wedding will look great on their resumes, so you also have an assurance they will do their best work.

Hope that helps a little and good luck.!
