I caught the bouquet at my best friend's wedding. Have any of you caught a bouquet previously? Smiley smile

I've never seen a bouquet toss at a wedding. Every wedding I've been to that was skipped.

Yep.. and after I caught it.... I dated 3 assholes before finally finding FH... So it meant nothing to me.

Consider your guest list before doing it... I personally hate that the bride had to drag me to the dance floor and make me feel like a complete fool because I was one of 4 girls that were single.. I did it because she was my best friend and I was maid of honor... I will NOT be doing this because I may have maybe....3 single/unmarried females..

I repeat..... Consider your guest lists before making plans.... some people don't like being put on the spot ..

She had a "mock bouquet". Wanted to do the toss, without tossing her actual one. I'm considering doing the same. I thought or was a genius idea. Her florist recommended it

I was hoping I would catch it at the last wedding I went to because we just got engaged, but the other ladies were brutal!! HaHa! Great picture and how cute that it worked.

@JoRocka- the woman who catches the bouquet is the next one to get married. Just an old wives tale. Accept in this case. HaHa!

I did not but FH caught the lottery ticket mock bouquet. We were engaged 2 months later! I so don't believe in it but funny none the less. I always avoided bouquet tosses because some people throw bows in hopes of being "next"

Never caught one because I have zero hand eye coordination! Cute picture though!

Last wedding I was at with a bouquet toss, none of the single girls ACTUALLY wanted to catch it and we all took a step back when it headed towards us, thus letting it drop on the ground. Luckily, the flower girl ran over and grabbed it, but it was really awkward. I have no plans to do this at my wedding.

Oh no. It fell to the ground. That is awkward. I'm going to definately consider the females invited. If there are barely any single, I may opt out.

EW- I know that. But it was 2.5 years ago- I'm pretty sure there is some sort of statue of limitation even with old wives tales- ffs- eventually someone's going to get married who caught one.

    it's just... silly.

    It needs to die.

    True dat ^

To add - once you get past 23/24 the tradition of fighting over a bouquet of flowers just seems sad.

Some women do get crazy when they do it. Haha. I remember being a kid and going with my parents to a wedding where the women were too competitive. It looked ridiculous. But to each their own.

Your wedding is only as fun as you make it. Whether you chose to do the toss or not... Have games during cocktail hr... dance your way into your "grand entrance"...

You're never to grown to be "silly" now that.. is just silly Smiley smile

I caught the bouquet at my friend's wedding and my husband ended up proposing a month later! I hadn't even thought about the possibility of catching it until it happened and my friend was like "I threw it to you on purpose!" haha. And I was actually wearing the same dress when he proposed as when I caught the bouquet.

My florist made a smaller "toss" bouquet as well for our wedding.
