Casual Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

Megan, on April 8, 2021 at 4:29 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 12
Hi all! So my FH and I are having our rehearsal on a Thursday night, and will be having our rehearsal dinner that night as well. We’re planning on making it super casual, because we’re having a very formal wedding and want a more casual evening for our rehearsal. What ideas would y’all have for that?! We’re going to be doing it in the community room of my FH’s building, and have tossed around ideas like Italian catering (Easy go to), or even Chipotle catering! We just want a fun casual evening to hang out with everyone! What would you suggest?! Open to lots fun ideas!

We haven't fully decided yet, but we're likely doing either pizza or BBQ.

Pizza from your favorite delivery place or Costco and sodas/beer is very common as a rehearsal meal

Do you have a favorite restaurant you love that has more casual food? I don't think you can go wrong with catering from a yummy local restaurant.

I'd say go to a nice restaurant near you that both of you love!

We're also wanting a very chill and laidback rehearsal dinner! We're planning on getting different pizzas! It's a crowd pleaser, easy to eat, and easy to clean up!

I was thinking of Chipotle catering myself! It seems super easy, inexpensive, and everyone likes it! I also thought about BBQ.

I think for the feel you're going for, pizza would be a great option—it's easy to eat while standing and encourages mingling and a casual vibe. I'd order from your favorite place and get a variety of boxed red/white wine and craft beers. I'd also order fun plastic/paper ware that coordinated with your wedding colors because I'm extra like that and it would tie the casual event in with your formal wedding.

We love Mexican so we are just doing a taco bar. A family friend used to run a Mexican restaurant so he is doing the cooking for us but if he was not available we were totally up for throwing it together ourselves.

We aren't planning anything big, either, just a family&friends dinner, so another vote for the pizza. I've been at my sister's rehearsal dinner and it was the same, her friends played a smartshow 3d video about the bride and the groom and everyone enjoyed pizza and soda/beers. The best option imo

I've been to one where we all just ordered pizzas, and I went to another where we met up afterwards at the local mexican restaurant for tacos!
