Carnival Cruise Wedding?

Rayleenah, on May 2, 2020 at 5:11 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
I am considering booking my wedding on the carnival Horizon for next year. Are there any brides who have gotten married on the carnival? If so, what was the planning process like? I'm curious because we live in Cleveland, OH and the boat is docked in Miami. So I'm wondering, do you ever physically meet with your planner? Do you get to taste any menu samples? How do you go about getting a marriage license before the wedding, if you plan to get married in another country while on the cruise? I know my planner can answer these question, but my phone meeting isnt for another 4 days and I'm ANXIOUS! Haha.

This sounds like so much fun! I hate to be the person to bring up this unfortunate epidemic, but even if cruises are operating again next year, the way they operate could be changed forever. No more buffets, less people at shows, limited destinations, etc. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that, as a guest, a Cruise wedding is something I wouldn’t miss out on!

A Carnival cruise wedding sounds fun! Do let us know what you find out after your phone meeting.

We looked into weddings on cruises, but decided against it due to not everyone likely having the funds to go on a vacation like that. Although we are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon.

Though @Natalie, I doubt they'd take away the buffets those are huge staples. I can say for at least Royal Caribbean not much would need to be changed except maybe having a larger infirmary on board. We already had to sanitize before we walked into any restaurant or store & they cleaned a lot, more than I've seen in many hotels.

I agree with Natalie and believe the cruise industry will be forever changed after this. I would definitely check with some of your guests and family to see if a cruise is something they will be comfortable with after the pandemic has subsided.

All of my guests are already booked on the cruise
It was originally supposed to be a family vacation. We decided to add the wedding package to our existing booking.
