Card/cash Box at Wedding

AMANDA, on November 10, 2018 at 9:31 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 15
How many people are doing/have done this? Was it a success or fail? We have no registry, so I'm hoping this is a good alternative.

We had a registry and also a card box at the reception. We received many cards and gift cards, as well as some other gifts that guests bought and brought to the wedding.

We had a registry but still had a card box at our wedding. We got all the gifts off our registry prior to the wedding and had quite a few cards with cash or a check given to us at the wedding.

I think you should always have a card box. That way they're not sprinkled on a table somewhere or just handing them to you. They're going to want to know "where to put the card." we bought a card box on etsy and just put it on the table, no sign necessary. If someone has a gift they can put it on the table, if they have a card they'll put it in the box.

I have seen this at every wedding I've gone to, and we will be doing one as well.

A lot of people have personalized card boxes that fit the theme of their wedding to add an extra touch! The last wedding we went to was formal and elegant, and they had an old style street light/lantern looking card box and it was very nice!

We're having a barn wedding and our card box is going to be an old style milk can!

    Hope this helps!

Hi Amanda! Having a card box at a wedding is incredibly common. I would say that most couples opt to have a locked card box where guests can place cards into somewhere around the entrance of their reception! You can create a fun designed box out of so many items such as bird cages, mailboxes, etc. to collect the cards! I think its a really smart idea to have one at any wedding! Smiley smile I'd love to help you come up with some ideas to fit any specific theme or style for your reception!

We will be doing it. We're looking into having a wooden keepsake box made for it.

Card BoxCard/cash Box at Wedding 1

We had a card box that the venue provided and I had a small sign that said "Cards and Gifts, Thank You." I was registered but those gifts were given at my bridal shower. Everyone who gave a gift, gave a check in a card except one person who gave us a wrapped gift.
