Make sure you review your contract to be sure you won’t owe any money or that there aren’t any additional terms about cancellation. After that just send an e-mail that says that you’ve decided to go in a different direction and will no longer be needing their services.

    Just as Sarah said.

    "Dear _______,

Thank you so much for your time regarding our wedding. Unfortunately, we have decided to move in a different direction and will no longer be needing your services for our day. We understand all deposits are non-refundable per our contract. We appreciate your time and effort up to this point.

    Sincerely,

    ________"

If there's any added payments as per your contract, you may want to add in a line about when/how the money is to be sent. Also, if your contract does not state that any deposits are non-refundable, you may want to adjust that line to request information about when and how your deposit will be returned to you. Best of luck!
