Cancel big wedding for a small intimate wedding help

Rebecca, on June 4, 2020 at 10:03 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3
I'm trying to think of a creative way to tell most of my guests that we have a change of plans and we're going to have a small family and close friends wedding. Not only did covid ruin everything but our venue also caught on fire and they couldn't guarantee it would be fixed in time for our date. Do I just reach out to every person individually?

It depends on how formal you want to be. I would send out a mailing to everyone explaining it and sending our regrets and regards, but that's just me. You can also call, email, or send messages on social media!

    Hi Rebecca,

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I agree with the recommendation above! You can send out an email or event post it on social. If I were in your shoes, I think I would call the "important," people (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.).

If you need us we’ve set up a hotline at (833) 998-2865 where we can give support and advice.

Sending lots of love your way!

    Smiley heart

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I would mail out something explaining everything. I'm sure people will understand especially during this whole COVID crisis.
