Can you have spring colors IF?!

Mrs. Soon2be Garcia, on February 17, 2013 at 8:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 16

Your having a October wedding? I love spring colors but I really want our wedding date on the day we got together. And the flowers to be like tiger Lillys. FH thinks since its fall we should do fall colors. I hate sunflowers and Orange, do get me wrong one of my bff had a fall wedding with those and it was glamorous! But noty style. And to add to it he wants mason jars for the drinking glasses, SOMEONE help and ideas how to weave all that together? Lol

I'm curious too, I love the color combo (navy and pink) but the first thing anyone says is "it's not fall" ugh!

Go for it.. I don't think that it matters... Also I would look into to see what the pricing would be for the flowers you want for that time of year- if it is important to you - you might find that they are out of season which means they will be way more expensive.....that might change what you decide on dates? It's all checks and balances isn't it?! - where are you willing to give - where not! Good luck Smiley winking

Thanks, I actually thought of doing fake flowers for most of the stuff because I'm making everything myself and because of the different season.

navy and pink would be pretty!

I've never been a pink person I love green, but pinitrest has got me hooked on pink white and tiger Lillys.

We are using green as our primary color because I dislike traditional fall colors as well... You can pick anything you want pretty much with green.

Go for it! We're using teal, yellow and gray... Not very fall like, for our November wedding. I'm not really a fan of "fall" colors

Well, I'm having "fall" colors (wine, ivory and gold) in a February wedding so it's evident what my position is on this. Lol

Absolutely, you can use spring colors at a fall wedding. Wedding colors are not tied to a season. They are the colors that you love.

Choose whatever colors you want. Smiley smile

I happen to be doing fall-ish colors for a fall wedding, but I don't think you *have* to. Tiger lilies are my fav - the orange ones will be in my bouquet (we're going to do fake flowers).

Use whatever colors you want! Tiger lilies are orange right? Or no?

Honestly - I think some of the best looking color palettes are the ones that are unexpected. And you can always ground a pretty spring bright or pastel color with a deeper color like a grey, navy, orange or purple. Or you could do pastel/softer versions of traditional fall colors. So instead of orange and brown, you could do peach and gold.

Just play around and do lots of google image searches. There are tons of awesome color combos out there.

Why not? I think it would look cool. And mason jars can go with either season. In the summer and spring you think of them filled with either flowers or fresh iced tea, and in fall they are filled with preserves and jellys. You don't necessarily have to do fall colors because it is fall, you could make it flow with darker versions of your favorite springs.

My wedding is in October and I'm doing all different shades of brown/mocha and all different shades of light greens/chartreuse with small pops of plum. It's your day- you can do whatever colors you like! And I guarantee no one at the wedding will say "OMG. THIS WEDDING ISN'T FALL COLORED!" And if they do, kick 'em out! lol
