Can parents be involved in a sand unity ceremony?

Riley, on May 26, 2019 at 9:32 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
I have never seen a sand unity ceremony that the parents are involved is it possible? How would wording be? Or should I stick to the candle unity?

I see no issue having a sand ceremony with the parents! I think that's a sweet way to include family from both sides

I've seen a candle unity ceremony where the parents lit the two candles and each set of parents gave their candle to their child, to light the main candle. I love the symbolism of that. Could your parents each hold the sand that your retrieve from them, to do the rest of the ceremony?

    Hi there Riley!

    This is a nice idea!

I just checked out this discussion (Including mothers in the sand ceremony... ). It's an old one from 2010, however, this couple had their parents pour the bottom layer together to represent and symbolize their upbringing and foundation.

Do you think this could work as part of yours?
