Can my wedding dress be taken out??

Katie, on May 25, 2019 at 10:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
I have lost 35 pounds and now weigh 150lbs and my dress is a size 8. I’m getting married in 5 months. Do I have the time to lose the other 20?? And get alterations??

You may be able to loose the rest or get a courset back.

Agree with PP - getting a corset back should help a lot! Don't pressure yourself to lose weight. Even if you do, the corset back is very forgiving!

An inch of my dress wouldn’t zip up so I got a corset back put in and OMG I love my dress so much more.

If you really put your mind to it you can do it. I've also lost 30lbs and have about 4 months left till the wedding. I've been losing about 5 lbs per month with a good diet and gym time.

I would also take the dress to a seamstress and have her evaluate it. Some wedding gowns are made with a half inch extra in the seams to be let out a little bit. That may help with that 5 lbs or so.
