Can my bridesmaids wear different dresses?

That's what I'm doing! Not weird at all. Plus, I'd rather my bridesmaids feel comfortable than despise me for their attire during my wedding!

There are so many nice looking dresses in similar colors that I told my bridesmaids that I don’t care as long as they’re similar looking color wise and they’re comfortable

Someone else probably already mentioned it but if so I'll just reaffirm that it'll be just fine: I used Azazie, which is a fantastic website for bridesmaids and other dresses. I just gave them a color and told them to have at it with any of the styles that they think they'd like based on their own personal taste and budget. The dresses ship rather quickly and are fairly inexpensive compared to some others I've seen. Good quality too!

This is pretty much what I did. I have three bridesmaids. Each of them has a different dress. I told them they could choose whatever dress they liked as long as it was floor-length and plum colored. I do believe specifying that everyone should wear the same length dress is a good idea.

I'm so happy I stumbled across this post because I was just having this dilemma and debate with my fiance LOL. I'm pretty sure the new wedding trend is for everyone to not have the same exact style dress. My best friend is doing it (we just have to stay in color family) and I'm planning to do it. Absolutely! - I'm doing the same with my bridesmaids. They will wear different dresses but the same color. That way I make sure they wear something that they will like, compliment their figure, and at a reasonable price for them. I want to make sure everybody looks their best!

I think if they go for the same style of fabric and length, it would look better. Maybe they can wear the same hairstyle if you want them to match something.

Thats actually a growing trend. As long as they are the same color and someone in the same shape (sheath, flowy, fitted) it think it would look great. If they order from the same website/store, they have a better chance of getting the exact color match. Good luck

I picked a color from David's Bridal and let them all know to find a dress they liked in that color. I trust all my friends to look perfectly fine. I went that route because having them match exactly isn't particularly important to me, and they're all scattered across the country so I wanted to make it as easy as possible for them too.

Mine did too! I love that they all felt comfortable and beautiful!
