Called off the wedding...

ArizonaDreaming, on April 13, 2020 at 1:01 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 2

I called off the wedding 2 months back. It is not because we are not happy or anything. The opposite actually. We have been together 3+ years and have a 5 month old daughter together. It just made more sense to put our plans on hold until we figured out how and where we actually wanted to get married. I want something small and intimate. He is onboard with whatever it is that I want. I am not in any rush and I felt like I was being forced to make decisions I didn't have answers to. I will still be here to give opinions and feedback!

What are you folks doing with the whole COVID19 situation? Are those due to be married during all of this getting free rescheduling or refunds?

We are HOPEFULLY getting married 08/08/2020, that is the plan at least. I work at a Doctors office in Montana and the providers at my work are keeping positive and telling me they think this will be better by August, but I also wonder if they are just saying that to make me feel good. We're getting married in Oregon which is already stressful as is it. Luckily we're getting married on his parents property so we don't have to worry about a venue. I'm hoping everything goes as planned!

    Hi ArizonaDreaming,

Congratulations on your 5 mo daughter! That's a fun age. I'm glad to hear that you listened to your gut instincts and delayed the wedding. There's no reason to rush the planning process. When you know, you know...right? Smiley shame

As a bonus for making the right decision for you, you're not having to worry about postponing your wedding like so many couples right now. It's a tough time.

Stay home and healthy! Smiley heart
